Target Audience

Recommended for junior to intermediate mineral land administration personnel. Junior to intermediate production accounting personnel may also find this course beneficial.

Course Description

Topics covered will be an overview of types of royalties, overview of deductions, maintenance, impact of poolings and unitizations. The key royalty information required by production accounting will also be reviewed.

What To Bring

Participants are encouraged to bring their own samples and questions, which will be examined if time permits.

Instructor Bio

Jan Bellis, Landman CPLCA, Independent Consultant has been working within the Oil and Gas industry since 1977. Jan has a B.A. Geography from McMaster University and has earned the CPLCA designation through CAPLA. Jan has worked in various land administration roles including Manager, of Land & Contract Administration at Husky Oil Operations Limited. Jan is a member of CAPL and CAPLA and is an active member of the CAPLA Education committee.
