Target Audience

Individuals who deal directly with Third Party Surface Agreements, requests for Third Party Surface Agreements and Crossing Agreements.


Course Description

Topics covered will include an overview of the various types of agreements in use, the legislation governing them as well as a practical hands-on workshop on how to use these agreements. Additional topics include an overview of standard requests and how to process such requests. The course will also discuss the use of CAPLA's Master Road Use Agreement.


What To Bring

Participants are encouraged to bring their own samples and questions, which will be discussed if time permits. **Please note that lunch will not be provided.

Instructor Bio(s)
Linda Stock- Surface Advisor/Quality Assurance Lead
Linda has worked in the legal field as a Paralegal since 1990 and entered into the Energy Industry at EnCana Corporation in 2004. Since joining EnCana she has obtained her Land Administration certification through Mount Royal College (2005). Currently Linda works in an advisory capacity providing assistance to EnCana's Surface Land Community in matters relating to legal issues, reviews third party contracts prior to execution by EnCana and is also a group lead of EnCana's Quality Assurance Team. Linda was also involved in the re-write of the Surface Land Course, Land Administration, offered through SAIT.
