Surface Land Administrators or others who require an understanding of the administration process pertaining to ERCB D56 regulations.


Course Description

This course provides an understanding of ERCB Directive 56 and how they affect various aspects of surface land acquisition from an administrative perspective. It will cover the purpose, background, and history of D56. Also covered in the course will be Development applications, Routine and Non-Routine; Regulatory Process; Additional Well Licensing Requirements; and various documents.


What To Bring
Please bring a copy of Directive 56 with you to the class. The most recent version can be downloaded directly from the ERCB website. Participants are encouraged to bring their own samples and questions, which will be examined if time permits. **Please note that lunch will not be provided.

Instructor Bio(s)
Andrew Fulford is currently employed at EnCana Corporation as the Lead Surface Coordinator for the Wheatland Sub-Business Unit. Andrew has been involved with surface land since 1985 and has experience managing surface land groups both in-house and at land brokerages. Andrew is a member of the CAPP D-56 Advisory Committee and recently has been an instructor at SAIT for their surface land administration course and has designed various courses for both seminars and on-line training programs.
