Target Audience

Recommended for individuals who have worked with the Notice of Assignment, have an understanding of the assignment process, wish to further their knowledge and/or individuals who have taken the Notice of Assignment Novice course.


Course Description

An overview of the assignment process will be presented followed by various NOA related exercises. This will provide the user with hands-on experience and ensure the correct application of the assignment process. A comprehensive binder will be provided for each participant.


What To Bring
Participants are encouraged to bring their own samples and questions, which will be examined if time permits. **Please note that lunch will not be provided.

Instructor Bio(s)
Curt Hamrell - Landman, Consultant A & D Pengrowth Corporation
Curt has been working within the Oil and Gas industry since 1981. Curt graduated with a Petroleum Land Management Degree from the University of Oklahoma after first receiving a Petroleum Land Management Diploma from Mount Royal College. Curt has 25 years of Land experience in various Land Administration roles. He is currently at Pengrowth Corporation. Curt is an active member of CAPLA and is a CAPLA Education Committee volunteer and a CAPLA Board Development Committee volunteer. He is affiliated with CAPL, and as an active member he has volunteered on the CAPL Membership Committee. Curt is currently teaching a Land Contracts course with the SAIT Certificate Program and also teaches a Land Agreements course with the Mount Royal College Advanced Certificate Program. He has also taught a Land course at Olds College and in-house Land seminars at an Oil and Gas company.
