Membership Fees

Membership is based on applicants meeting CAPLA's qualifications for membership.  Once approved by CAPLA's Board of Directors, each Member is accountable for the "standing" of their membership and for providing CAPLA's Office with current employment, phone, fax and email information.  Each individual who qualifies for membership "owns" their membership in its entirety whether paid by the individual or their company. Membership is non-transferable among individuals.

An Active Member in good standing shall be a person who:

• is employed in the petroleum industry in activities associated with land administration matters;
• has been qualified for membership by the Membership Committee;
• has paid in full the annual fees for the Association;
• is not under suspension nor been expelled from the Association.

Associate Membership is open to any person who is:

• is no longer qualified to maintain an active membership; or
• is employed by a post-secondary educational institute, governmental agency or other non-commercial group relating to land administration, or is enrolled in a post-secondary educational program relating to land administration;
• has qualified for membership by the Membership Committee;
• has paid in full the annual fees for the Association;
• is not under suspension nor been expelled from the Association.
• Note: An Associate Member shall be prohibited from holding office and from voting at meetings of the Association.

Annual Fees

(Payment methods available: Cash, Cheque, VISA or MasterCard)

• Annual Active Member Fee $131.25 ($125.00 + 6.25 GST)
• Annual Associate Member Fee $78.75 ($75.00 + 3.75 GST)
• Fee is waived for government personnel.

Starting January 1, 2006, Membership fees are applied for 12 consecutive months from the date they are paid. Notices for member renewal dues are sent out each December.
