Much of what volunteers bring to organizations – such as talent, ideas, skill, experience, energy, generosity and commitment – cannot be counted or measured. However, we do know that without our volunteers, CAPLA would not exist.  Volunteers represent CAPLA in the industry, and our volunteers carry CAPLA’s message and reputation farther than any marketing efforts ever will.  Volunteers are CAPLA.
 
Why volunteer?
We know that our volunteers get back at least as much as they give.  If you are a volunteer you can expect to gain:
  • Experience you cannot get at your job or any other volunteer organization
  • Influence and profile in industry and government
  • Satisfaction of contributing to your profession and industry
  • Direct knowledge of how the whole does exceed the sum of the parts

How to Volunteer:  It’s easy.  Complete the "Volunteer Inquiry Form".  Then view the current volunteer opportunities here...  Forward your completed Volunteer Inquiry Form to the email of the person of the opportunity you are interested in.
 
Types of Volunteers:
  • episodic:  complete a short-term task or function. 
  • long-term:  join an ad-hoc or a standing committee.
